Our sponsored student faced a surprise hindrance when he almost finished his Masters and was interested in pursuing PGD but the itching and other issues which got tagged along mentally and physically. SAHYOG was able to get enough references medically and helped him find the best cure holistacally. The whole treatment costed about 45,000/- INR, he is presently doing a Internship with Us.

Lekhana is undergoing treatment for brain tumour at Shankara Cancer Foundation. She is a charming twelve-year-old girl, who has a long life ahead and the doctors at the Foundation are doing their best to treat her. But since her parents are very poor and are unable to bear the expenses of the treatment, the hospital is depending upon the donations from the kind-hearted. Mrs.Swamy is a frail middle-aged woman, weighing just around 40 kgs. But she had been carrying a tumour weighing 58.5 kgs. in her stomach for quite sometime. Thanks to the efforts of some well-wishers and M.S.Ramaiah Hospital authorities, she was recently relieved of this burden through a complicated surgery. This being a rare kind of tumour, the hospital authorities took care of all the expenses of the surgery. Mrs.Swamy is an orphan, living in an orphanage in Tumkur. Now, she needs a lot of medicines and nutrition supplements during her post-surgical period, to get back to normalcy. SAHYOG pitched in Rs.15000/- towards these expenses, so that she can at least be physically independent.

Bharath, a youngster belonging to the lower income group is suffering from thyroglossal fistula. He needs to be hospitalized and treated for the same with a possible surgery and post-surgical medicines. The cost of the treatment would roughly cost around Rs.15000/-, as per the estimate of M.S.Ramaiah Hospital, at a subsidized rate. Ramanamma is a poor domestic maid, who works in four houses. She is a widow and her only son, who is 24 years old is running an autorickshaw, which he has purchased by availing a loan. Two years ago, she was diagnosed of ovarian cancer. She underwent treatment at Kidwai Memorial Hospital. The treatment had cost her nearly 1.5 to 1.6 lakhs and hence they had borrowed monies from private money lenders and close relatives. The doctors had certified that she was cured and guaranteed 5 years of peaceful life. Ramanamma continued her work during the last year, as she had to repay the loans. Unfortunately, the dreadful disease has relapsed. She knocked on our doors for help and thanks to our philanthropic donors, we have financed for her chemo cycles costing Rs.30000/-. We wish Ramanamma a speedy recovery and peaceful future. Please join us in our prayers.
Sushmita, a 22-year-old lady is 6 months pregnant. Her husband is an auto-driver and a drunkard. She tripped and fell down and has been advised various tests like the deluxe doppler test, etc., all of which will cost her nearly Rs.19000/- at the discounted rates in M.S.Ramaiah hospital. Her husband has not turned up for days together and the poor parents and parents-in-law have been attending to her. Many young volunteers have collected a major portion of the amount and SAHYOG contributed Rs.3000/- towards the above expenditure. We wish the young mother and the new life all the best.
Pradeep, a wildlife activist, was bitten by a snake and suffered from overdose of anti-dote along with wrong first-aid actions. We provided 20,000 Rs to assist his ICU expenses.
Mallappa, a poor daily wage earner had a fracture in his leg and was admitted to some private hospital. He underwent a surgery but got discharged forcefully, even before proper post-surgery care was given because he could not meet the expenses. He naturally was afflicted with some infections and got admitted to MS Ramaiah Hospital, Bangalore. He required intensive care and was admitted to the ICU but due to his misfortune, he fell off the ICU bed and fractured a limb once again. Now he requires another surgery and post-surgery care all of which will nearly cost him Rs.35000/-. Mansoor brought us this case and due to paucity of funds, we could guarantee only Rs.20000/- towards this case.

Baby Grishma underwent bone marrow transplantation at Mazumdar Shaw Medical Centre, Narayana Health City. Donated Rs.90000/- towards the cost of the surgery.

Shoaib a 1 yr old kid was found to be diagnosed with Cancer spreading in his abdomen blocking his anus and giving him trouble for passing stool and other digestive issues, SAHYOG collaborated with other NGO's was able to raise over 12 Lakhs INR for his treatment though he dint make it but like you can see in this photo he left us with courage to not stop and help and reach out.
